The Child Growth Foundation’s update course is listed in the Department of Health Directory "Obesity training courses in Primary Care".  It is a 1 – 1˝hr summary that can be included in a larger teaching programme for GPs and their staff who cannot afford to devote a half-day to "growth/child obesity".  In the time available the techniques to measure head circumference, length/height & weight are demonstrated and the use of all the charts summarised.
